What we are proudest of is watching our athletes progress properly. And what satisfies us even more is when organised work — aimed at the goal, respecting the training principles of overload, individuality, specificity and reversibility, and actually done as agreed — lets someone move this far.
In this case, from September/October — the end of the previous season and the start of pre-season — through to the summer, the rider put up:
- VO2max +1 L/min, from 59 to 76
- FTP up about 80 W, from 185 W to 267 W
- 5-minute power from 4.2 to 5.9 W/kg
- Power at FTP from 3.2 to 4.9 W/kg
- Power numbers that hold beyond 1 h 30
Those marks did not come from the plan alone. They also came from the rider’s respect for training and recovery — the part that often goes unsaid, and that matters just as much.
If you are already thinking about next season, talk to us. We will organise the work around what you actually need to improve.
